Man killed in car crash FRANKFORD A one-car crash on Plains Road resulted in the death of the driver, Richard H. Ward, 39, of Beemerville. State police said Ward was traveling east on the road Wednesday night when his car ran off to the right and struck a tree. Ward was pronounced dead at the scene by a passing doctor and taken to Newton Hospital by the Blue Ridge Rescue Squad.

Jacqueline Dill Wed To Walter S. DesackMiss Jacqueline Eileen Dill, daughter of Mr. and Mm. Clarence Dili of 16 Chestnut St., was married June 19 in the Naval Hospital Chapel to Fireman First Class Walter Stanley Desack, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Desack of Monessen, Pa. The Rev. Edward Tully officiated. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Miss Geraldine- Clark, maid of honor; Miss Patricia Moore of Bell Vernon, Pa., bridesmaid, and Peggy Green, flower girl. Theodoie Shiner of Wilkes Barre, Pa., was best man, and Robert Southerland was usher. The bride wore a gown of Chantilly lace over white satin, with illusion yoke and chapel train. The maid of honor wore orchid net over taffeta in ballerina length, and the bridesmaid was attired in pink net over taffeta. The flower girl's dress was of lace over satin, worn with a veil. A reception at the home of the bride's parents followed the ceremony. After a wedding trip to New York, the couple will live in Newport.
