    • "MARRIED In Lacon, April 28th, by Samuel McFadden, Esq., Capt. J.D. HATFIELD, late of the 53d Ill. Inft., and Miss NELLIE SHEPHERDSON, both of Saratoga township. The captain, like others of the rank and file, very gladly exchanges celibacy for blissful matrimony. He doubtless felt as if he was "one that treadeth alone," or in other words, "as a sheep" without a Shepherd (son)" and longed to "enter into life". We congratulate the happy couple, and wish them long life, and a happy and prosperous one."
