Before their marriage, George sold the family farm, his parents having died, and Rena, not wanting to live on a farm, having been brought up on a farm and knowing the work involved. Owing to his Army experience, George's health wasn't up to farm work either. They bought a home on 217 Western Avenue in Brattleboro. He was always a farmer hat heart. His garden was a picture to behold, and he loved to take company down to the cellar to show off all the caned goods, Rena had prepared from the garden. |

GEORGE H. M5LLER George Henry Miller, 68, of 217 Western' Avenue, formerly operator of a second hand and antique shop here, died unexpectedly in Memorial Hospital early yesterday morning. He had been hospitalized for three days. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock in the First Congregational Church, West limttleboro. Rev. Wallace Short will officiate. Burial will be in- Northfield Farms Cemetery. Ncrthfield, Mass. Friends may call at- the Rohde & Dawley Funeral Home tonight from 7 to 9. Born in Northfield Sept. 25, 1891. he was a son of Leonardis and Louise (Whitaker) Miller. In his early life he engaged in farming in Northfield. Mr. Miller served in the Army in World War I and moved to Brattleboro in 1927. His marriage to the former Rena Beaudry took place here Jan. 2. 1928. He engaged in the second hand and antique business for, 15 rears and later served as care-aker of several summer residences in the Ames Hill area. T Surviving besides his wife are oqj daughter, Mrs. Roger Jenkins of Clintondale, N.Y., two grandsons and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the First Congregational Church and Brattleboro Post, American Legion.
