      Alice Jean Bowns Dies at Age 67

      Mrs. Alice Jean Bowns, 67, a resident of. Bend for the past lli years, died last night at St. Charles Memorial hospital. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. L. W. Aplin, Bend; a son, Leon G. Bowns Jr., of Portland; five grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. She also leaves a brother, John Wilkinson, of Garnet, Kans. The body will lie in state this afternoon and early evening at the Niswonger-Winslow chapel herc,before being sent to Baker. Ore., where funeral services will he held Saturday at 11 a. m., from the West & Co. funeral home. Committal will be in a Baker cemetery.

    GEORGE W. DELVEE CALLED BY DEATH
    George W. Delvee, 64, died today at the Samaritan home. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2:30 o'clock and interment will be in Riverside park. Two sons, D. A. an employee of the B. L Gordon Company, and G. N. of Coffeyville, Kan., survive.
