Jane graduated in 1947 from Gardner High School. According to her obituary "Miss Talcott was a secretary at Walton's Auto Supply in Fitchburg. She was previously a bookkeeper and secretary at Larocque, Venning & Jacques, a local accounting firm. Before then, she was a bookkeeper at Thayer Mfg. Co. She was a member of First Baptist Church, its World Service Guild and the Christian Endeavor Alumni Association. She was a member of the South Gardner Historical Society and the National Pencil Collectors Society. She was an avid collector of pencils." [1] |
