• Obituary: 14 Sep 2003; PETERBOROUGH -- Sylvia L. Rathburn, 69, of Middle Hancock Road, died Sept. 10, 2003, at Monadnock Community Hospital. She was born Nov. 11, 1933, in Boston, the daughter of Arthur and Linea Truelson. She spent her formative years in Foxboro, Mass., and graduated from Foxboro High School. Mrs. Rathburn has been a resident of Peterborough since 1967, and had previously lived in Gilsum and Hancock. For 26 years, she was employed as a cook at Prospect Hill Nursing Home in Keene. She enjoyed candlepin bowling and belonged to the Coffee Shop League. Family members include her husband of 43 years, John K. Rathburn of Peterborough; two sons, Mark A. Rathburn of Epping, and Charles D. Rathburn of Oakhill, Fla.; a granddaughter; a sister, Arlene Teachout of Ft. Myers, Fla.; nieces and nephews. SERVICES: There are no calling hours. Private burial services will be at the convenience of the family.
