• Obituary: 6 Jul 2017; BRATTLEBORO - Richard Edward (Dick) Knapp passed away peacefully on June 29, 2017, at home after battling a long illness. He was born on March 1, 1945, in Greenfield, Mass., the son of the late Ray and Erma Knapp of Greenfield. Richard retired from Fibermark in Brattleboro in 2010 after 46 years. He loved fishing, traveling, repairing lawnmowers, and spending time with his grandsons. Richard is survived by his wife Kathryn (Smith) of 54 years. The couple were married on April 28, 1963, in Vernon. He is also survived by his sister, Katherine Tatro, of Hinsdale, N.H.; his children: David Knapp of Hinsdale, Floyd and Penny Knapp of Alburgh, Kevin and Rhonda Knapp of Brattleboro, and Heidi and Sam Clement of Vernon; two grandsons, Christopher Johnson of Charleston, S.C., and Tyler Clement of Vernon; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Nadine Tedford. Published in Brattleboro Reformer on July 6, 2017
