  Ruth Pearl (Simonds) Briggs

  Peabody, MA — Ruth P. Briggs, 96, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 11, 2022 at her Brooksby Village residence in Peabody. Born in Syracuse, NY she was the daughter of Perley H. and Bernadette I. (LaFord) Simonds. Ruth was a devout Catholic who attended church regularly. She graduated from Athol High School and enjoyed secretarial work beginning at L.S. Starrett Company in Athol where she met her loving husband Frank, of 60 years, who preceded her in death. Ruth always put her family first, and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family and working in her garden. She will be dearly missed. Ruth is survived by her 3 daughters; Carol Stanley and husband Russell of Templeton, Linda Briggs of Beverly and Kathy Guerry and husband Thomas of Fort Walton Beach, FL, grandsons; Brian Stanley, Benjamin Stanley and wife Jodi, and granddaughter; Wendy Nieberle, great granddaughters; Natalie and Nicole, and great-great grandson; Coleson. Ruth's family would like to thank the staff of Evergreen Terrace at Brooksby Village and Care Dimensions (Hospice) for their loving care. Published by the Athol Daily News, 15 February 2022
