    • Obituary: Feb 2007; SOMERSWORTH ? Paul E. Desrosiers, of 102 Maple St., died at the Rochester Manor, on Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, at the age of 83 after a long battle with leukemia. He was born on Feb. 17, 1923, in Manchester, and was the son of Omer and Alice (Auger) Desrosiers. After the death of his mother, he moved to Canada at the age of 6 to live with his maternal grandparents. He came back to the United States in 1951 with his wife and two daughters. He lived in Berwick, Maine, and then settled in Somersworth, where he remained until his death. He worked as a lumberjack, Baxter Woolen Mills, Somersworth Wood Heel and retired from General Electric in Somersworth. After his retirement, he worked part-time at Wentworth Greenhouses until the age of 80. Family members include his two daughters, Pauline Bowley and her husband, Ralph, of Somersworth, and Claudette Holbrook of Leominster, Mass.; four grandchildren, Christine (Holbrook) Mossa and her husband, Rick, Raymond Vermette, Jr., and Jessica, Lorrie (Holbrook) Leblanc and Steven Vermette and his wife, Corinne; four great-grandchildren, Brandyn Leblanc, Molly Vermette, Britney Leblanc and Alexa Vermette. He also leaves his very dear friend and companion, Rita Lagueux of Somersworth. Several half brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces also survive him. Besides his parents, his brother, Roger and his sisters, Doris Larochelle and Rolande Bouchard, predeceased him. His wife, Marguerite (Michaud) Desrosiers, predeceased him in 1985. The family sincerely wishes to thank the staff of Rochester Manor, Seacoast Hospice and Your VNA. ???? Calling hours at Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South St., Somersworth, will be on Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Martin Catholic Church, West High and Maple streets, Somersworth. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in his name to Seacoast Hospice or to Your VNA.
