She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Musante, a sister Jean Glatkowsku and her brother Francis Jarvis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 30, 2015 at 10:00 am in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will be held at a later date in Silver Lake Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday, March 30, 2015, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Fiske-Murphy & Mack funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange. He attended Ashburnham public schools and studied mechanics at Worcester Trade School. He later received his GED from Greenfield Community College. For the majority of his career, he worked as a cuttergrinder at the Union Twist Drill in Athol, Ma. Harold met the love of his life, Lois Delva, skating at Whalom Park in Lunenburg, Ma. They were married on September 23, 1950 and just celebrated their 69th anniversary. They lived in Orange, Massachusetts most of their married life; later living in Athol, Ma., as well as, East Machias and Calais, Maine. Family and friends occupied most of his thoughts and spare time. He loved to hunt with his grandson and fish with all his family. He loved to square dance with Lois on Saturday nights, then gather around the kitchen table playing cards until the wee hours of the morning. You could always count on a cucumber or tomato from his vegetable patch. He is survived by his wife Lois, his children Barry and wife Diane, Susan Musante and husband Michael; grandchildren Laurie Smith and husband Tom, Lisa Brooks and husband Norman, Joey Musante and fiance Erica, and Barry Raymond II; great-grandchildren Dustin Guyer, Dana Guyer, Tony Guyer, Elizabeth Truehart, Kyle Sansoucie, Wesley Brooks, Samuel Brooks, and Mitchell Brooks. She also harbored fond memories of the family's time in Munsonville, N.H. where her father was a shopkeeper and Postmaster. Lois graduated from Orange High School in 1948. Classmates were important to her, as she attended many reunions. As a youth, she was fond of attending square dances, where her mother and uncle played musical instruments. Lois met the love of her life, Harold Raymond, roller skating at Whalom Park in Lunenburg, MA. They married on September 23, 1950 in Orange. They had just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary prior to Harold's passing on October 9, 2019. Living most of their married life in Orange and Athol, MA; they moved in later years to East Machias, Maine to be close to the family. Family and friends occupied most of her time. She loved to travel and spend time at any beach from Hampton Beach to Roque's Bluff. The holidays were an extravagant affair at her house with turkey dinners and what seemed like rooms full of presents at Christmas. Her dining room table also hosted epic card games with friends on Saturday nights with her famous chips and dip. She is survived by her son Barry and his wife, Diane and daughter, Susan Musante; grandchildren Laurie Smith and husband Tom; Lisa Brooks and husband Norman, Joey Musante and fiancĂ©e Erica and Barry Raymond,II; great grandchildren Dustin Guyer, Ariel Smith, Garth Guyer and wife Abby, Dana Guyer, Anthony Guyer, Elizabeth Truehart, Kyle SanSoucie, Wesley Brooks, Sam Brooks, and Mitchell Brooks; great great grandchildren: Lincoln Guyer and Anessia Guyer. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold and son-in-law, Michael Musante.
