• Obituary: 22 Sep 2018; MILLVILLE – Lisa A. (Merloni) Chicoine, 54, of Millville passed away Sat., Sept. 15, 2018 at home with her family by her side. She was the wife of John E. Chicoine. A resident of Millville for nearly 25 years, she worked as a newspaper carrier delivering the Woonsocket Call and Milford Daily News throughout the local area for over 20 years. Lisa was born in Framingham in 1963, the daughter of the late Scott Merloni and Carol (Canelli) Merloni Lunkins and was a graduate of Jos. Keefe Voc. and Technical High School in Framingham. She later lived in Sudbury and Ashland before moving to Millville. She loved baseball and the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed an occasional episode of Shark Tank. Her animals were very special to her. She raised and nurtured her beloved Bernese Mountain Dog Maddie and her goats Finn and Dodger In addition to her husband John of 34 years, she is survived by her children Jennifer L. Chicoine of Pawtucket, RI and her son Michael J. Chicoine of Millville; a brother Scott Merloni, Jr of Ipswich and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private. Chicoine, 84, resident of Gardner, MA died on June 20, 2016 at UMASS Medical Center, Worcester, after a period of declining health. She was born on January 16, 1932, in Fitzwilliam, NH a daughter of the late John and Doris (Shepardson) Rathburn. Eleanor was raised and educated in the Fitzwilliam, Rindge and Jaffrey area and graduated from Conant High School. She held many jobs over her working years, for most of those years she worked for Simplex as a time stamp ribboner. She also worked as a nurse’s aid in Gardner for a few years. Eleanor enjoyed time spent with her family, especially time spent with her grandchildren. She loved being outdoors and always could be found in her garden tending to what was growing at that particular time of year. In addition to her parents and siblings Eleanor was predeceased by a grandchild. Survivors include her husband, Edward Chicoine of Gardner, her children; Sylvia Chicoine of Gardner, John and Lisa Chicoine of Milford, MA, Kenneth and Lisa Chicoine of North Carolina, a brother, Walter Hood of Rindge, NH and a sister Oloose Rathburn of Northfield, MA and many niece’s nephews and cousins. Services: In accordance with her wishes there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Hillside Cemetery, Rindge, NH.
