He is survived by his wife, Marion (Brown) Staples; his children, Terry, and Juanita, Dana, and Julia, Robbi, and Jane, Jay, and Jim, Jon, and Diane, Bernie, and Deb, and Charles, and Debbie; two brothers, Bernard Staples, and Gloria, and Roger Staples, and Joyce; 15 special grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many friends, including special friend, Ken Sprague; several nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Phyllis Cobb Staples; and a sister, Norma. Rev. Jim Plourde officiated.
