    • Obituary: 28 Sep 2008; David K. Johnson, 86, a resident of Tilton and former longtime resident of Nashua, died on Friday, September 26, 2008 following a lengthy illness. Mr. Johnson was born November 24, 1921, a son of the late William E. and Hazel P. (George) Johnson, Jr. He was the widower of Jane Eaton (Ainscow) Johnson, who died July 22, 1999. Mr. Johnson was a self-employed photographer in Nashua and Dover. He was a former Rotarian and member of the B & M Railroad Historical Society, Friends of the Wapack. Among his interests were photography, maps and music. He also enjoyed mountain climbing and climbed Mt. Monadnock thousands of times. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Army Air Corps. He was a graduate of Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, Mass. Following his graduation, he attended and graduated from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio. Survivors include his three sons and daughters-in-law, Peter and Pamela Johnson of Wolfeboro, Philip H. Johnson of Concord and Mark and Laura Johnson of Amherst; a daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Howard Palmer of Amherst; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Carolyn Johnson of Wilton and Robert S. and Noel Ainscow of Moultonborough; and 3 nieces, 3 nephews and several cousins. SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held at DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, One Lock St., Nashua on Monday morning from 10 am ? noon. Funeral services, interment prayers and burial will be private. Mrs. Johnson was born Feb. 26, 1923, in Nashua, daughter of the late Harry J. and Marjorie (Eaton) Ainscow. She had lived in Nashua for most of her life, and previously lived in Dover from 1947-59. She was the wife of David K. Johnson, whom she married April 12, 1947. Mrs. Johnson had been employed as a secretary at the former Jennison Insurance Agency in Nashua for more than 20 years before retiring in 1990. She had also worked at the former Second National Bank in Nashua as a savings teller. She enjoyed hiking and loved cooking, especially apple pies. Mrs. Johnson was a parishioner of The Church of the Good Shepherd. She was a graduate of Nashua High School and attended Nashua Business College. Besides her husband, survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Peter D. and Pamela Johnson of Wolfeboro, Philip H. and Michelle D. Johnson of Boscawen, and Mark W. and Laura M. Johnson of Amherst; a daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Howard Palmer of Amherst; six grandchildren, Erin Elizabeth Palmer, Michael David Palmer, Evan William Johnson, and Mae Elizabeth Johnson, all of Amherst, Renee Anne Johnson of Boscawen, and Stephanie Brown of Wolfeboro; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert S. and Noel M. Ainscow of Moultonboro; a sister-in-law, Janet Patterson of Venice, Fla.; two cousins; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
