    • Obituary: 2 Jul 1901; Walter Buckley, 78, died at the home of his son George on Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock. There was no apparent disease: it was simply a breaking up of the system from old age. His wife died 9 years ago. They had 11 children, of whom seven are living. Susan Buckley of South Hadley, Walter N. of Holyoke, John A., Mrs. Hattie Haskell, George & Charles of Conway and Mrs. John Cain of Savoy. He was of a family of five, of whom one sister survives, Mrs. Harriet Knight of South Hadley. he funeral was held at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon at George Buckley's house, Rev. C. S. Pease officiating. The body was taken to Ware for burial today. Published by The Springfield Republican, 2 July 1901, page 9.
