    • Obituary: 12 Oct 2016; Lilly Aleta Donehue, 92, of Beloit, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Premier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing in Beloit, Wisconsin. Lilly was born on November 9, 1923 in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of Arthur and Luler (Johnson) Barber. She married Forest Donald Fazel. They moved to Beloit in 1952 from Richland Center, Wisconsin. Forest preceded her in death on June 3, 1963. Lilly married Arthur Robert Donehue Sr. on November 5, 1966 in Rockford, Illinois. He died on November 21, 1991. Lilly was a homemaker for much of her life. She was employed at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Beloit for 14 years and several years at The Wagon Wheel Resort in Rockton, Illinois. Lilly was a member/soldier of the Salvation Army for over 75 years. She volunteered much of her time at the Salvation Army Senior Center. During the Christmas season she spent many hours as a "Bell Ringer", she taught Sunday School, was a Missionary Sergeant, distributed the Salvation Army publication, "The War Cry" to local businesses, and served in the Home League, now known as the Women's Ministry. The family would like to thank the staff at Premier Rehabilitation for the many years of compassionate care that was given to Lilly. Lilly is survived by her children, Forrest (Ann) Fazel of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, Jeannette (Major David) Fazel Biggs of Attica, Indiana, and Aleta (Lee) Fazel Brockman of Beloit, Wisconsin, step-daughter, Dorothy Truitt of Hampton, South Carolina, daughter-in-law, Rosa Fazel of Beloit, Wisconsin, seventeen grandchildren, along with numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends. Lilly was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, a son, James Fazel, step-son, Arthur "Sammy" Robert Donehue, Jr, and her twelve siblings, Leona Schmuir, Stella Rich, Arthur Barber Jr, Wilson "Bill" Barber, Raynold Barber, Dolly Galihugh, Dasie Fazel, Charles Barber, Alta Aldrich, Harold Barber, and two siblings in infancy. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 14, 2016 at Hansen-Gravitt Funeral Home, 424 Prospect Street, Beloit, Wisconsin 53511 with Major David Biggs of The Salvation Army officiating. Visitation is Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Committal in Rockton Township Cemetery, Rockton, Illinois will follow the service on Friday.
