She then left the work force shortly after my sister was born and became a homemaker and eventually started her own daycare in the home. My mother, Judith, had retired once they moved to VA when the Framingham GM plant closed. When her father was unable to live by himself, she would spend the winter in Florida taking care of her dad and then they would spend the summers in Virginia."

    During the winter of 2003, while in Florida, she underwent knee surgery and there were complications after the fact and she passed away from aspiration.
