He married Mary Armstrong Crouse in 1949, She died in 2001. Mr. Crouse worked in several businesses before retiring from Washington Water Power. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking and storytelling. Survivors include three daughters, Carissa and Susan Crouse, both of Spokane, and Connie Pope of Oregon; two grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.       Mary Crouse Spokane

      No service will be held for Mary Priscilla Crouse, 85. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Borm in Springfield, Vt., Mrs. Crouse died Friday. Her family moved to Spokane when she was 7 years old. In 1941 she married Robert Cummings and they lived in Florida until he died during World War II. She returned to Spokane and later married Everett Crouse. In 1948 she graduated from Eastern Washington College of Education and taught school for District 81 and the West Valley School District. She was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority and the guild at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. She served as a docent for the Cheney Cowles Museum. Survivors include her husband of 51 years; three daughters, Connie, Carissa and Susan; two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
