Entombment will be at Bellwood Memorial Park. Don died Saturday, July 25, 2015 in a Temple hospital. Don was born January 12, 1939 in Fairfield to Millard H. Cannon and Grace Speed Cannon. He graduated from Temple High School in 1957. Don married Diana Lambright on October 5, 1957. He graduated with honors from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1963, and a Masters degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas in 1966. His first job after graduation was as a Certified Public Accountant at Arthur Andersen Consulting Firm in Houston. In 1976, he moved back to Temple spending many years as the Chief Financial Officer of Collier Electric Company and in private consulting for various companies. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and served in the National Guard. Survivors include his wife, Diana Cannon of Temple; one son, Paul Cannon (Heather) of Cypress; one daughter Joanna Cannon Soles (Scott) of Carrollton; two sisters, Karon Collier of Allen and Sherry Cannon of Grand Prairie; and five grandchildren Spencer Soles, Austin Soles, Emma Soles, Sydney Cannon and Zachary Cannon. Memorials may be made to Tom Popelka Ministeries 4706 Spanish Oak Rd.Temple, Texas 76502. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
