  "Lt. Col. Horace D. "Hoss" Verry (Ret.) Born in Keene, New Hampshire July 14, 1932, passed away in Tucson on December 29, 2005. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, he is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Mary Jean; children Marianne, Jon, Pamela, Jay and Heidi; grandchildren Annemarie, Jay, Christopher, Amber, Thomas, Justin, Jennifer, Madison, great-grandson Hayden and a sister, Elizabeth Verry. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father who sacrificed everything for his family and his country with 30 years of dedicated service as a U.S. Army Ranger, including tours in Korea and Vietnam. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 5th at 10:30 a.m., ADAIR AVALON CHAPEL , 8090 N. Northern Avenue.
