He retired as a physician from the Navy, ending his career as chief of service in the clinic at the former Navy Ships Parts Control Center, Hampden Twp.; was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars; and a member of Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, Camp Hill.
He was the widower of Frances B. Long. Surviving are his wife, Regina M. Long; three daughters, Cynthia Myers of Epping, N.H., Genevieve Kirkpatrick of Mechanicsburg and Laura Watts of Enola; a stepson, David Finn of Howells, N.Y.; two stepdaughters, Patricia A. Disque of Carlisle and Regina Bogert of Sidney, N.Y.; a brother, Harland of Tallahassee, Fla.; a sister, Ruth Neil of St. Clairsville, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9: 30 a.m. today in his church. Burial, with military honors, will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
