According to her obituary, she was "a lifetime member of the Orange Historical Society, she served on the publicity committee for many years. She also belonged to the Orange Senior Citizens and the national, Massachusetts and Franklin County Retired Teachers Associations, along with the Fitchburg State College Alumni Association. ... She enjoyed piano, embroidery, birds, music an d knitting."
