    • Obituary: 23 Feb 1996; PETERSHAM - F. Arthur Coolidge, 84, a sportsman and a retired farmer, died yesterday at his home, 10 Hardwick Road, house of Ted and Sharon Bassett, after a long illness. He leaves two nephews, Horace O. Coolidge Jr. of Petersham and Albert Coolidge of Barefoot Bay, Fla.; and grand-nephews and grand-nieces. He was born in Wellesley, son of Frank A. and Fannie (Ober) Coolidge, and moved here in 1918. He was a graduate of Petersham High School and Stockbridge School of Agriculture, part of the University of Massachusetts. Mr. Coolidge was owner and operator of Coolidge Farm for many years, retiring in 1979. He enjoyed outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing and gardening. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Higgins-O'Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main St., Athol. Burial will be in Ledgeville Cemetery. Calling hours will be from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Petersham Firemen's Association, c/o Dana Robinson, Box 751, Petersham, 01366.
