Burial will be in- Northfield Farms Cemetery. Ncrthfield, Mass. Friends may call at- the Rohde & Dawley Funeral Home tonight from 7 to 9. Born in Northfield Sept. 25, 1891. he was a son of Leonardis and Louise (Whitaker) Miller. In his early life he engaged in farming in Northfield. Mr. Miller served in the Army in World War I and moved to Brattleboro in 1927. His marriage to the former Rena Beaudry took place here Jan. 2. 1928. He engaged in the second hand and antique business for, 15 rears and later served as care-aker of several summer residences in the Ames Hill area. T Surviving besides his wife are oqj daughter, Mrs. Roger Jenkins of Clintondale, N.Y., two grandsons and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the First Congregational Church and Brattleboro Post, American Legion. Published by the Brattleboro Reformer on 12 September 1990.

He was the husband of Donna (Peabody) Miller. Born in Montague City, MA, Nov. 14, 1935 son of Marion E. (Newton) Miller of Bernardston, MA and the late Melvin L. Miller, he was a Torrington resident for the last 22 years. He attended Schools in Northfield Mass. and graduated from ICS with degrees in Civil and Industrial Engineering. While in school he was a land surveyor for The State of Massachusetts, and later was employed by Gilbain Engineering Co of Providence, RI, working on projects on The Prudential Center in Boston, buildings at Brown University in RI, and The Computer Center building in Framingham, MA. He later was Vice President and Director of Site Developement for T&M Building Company for 25 years. He was a member of The Greenfield Elks and later Torrington Elks. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Deborah M Siano of Greenfield, MA; and sons Donald E Miller and his wife Patricia of Guilford VT, Robert L. Miller and his wife Gwen of Turners Falls MA, Gary D. Miller; and his fiancee Traci Barba of Southington and Robert D.       ERVING, MA - Douglas M. Walker, 78, of Mountain Road, died at home early Tuesday morning, January 24, 2023 following an illness, with loved ones at his side. Born in Northfield on June 25, 1944, he was the son of the late William C. and Florence (Miller) Walker and attended Northfield schools and graduated from Greenfield Commerce School. On September 12, 1993, Doug married Mary (Whitmore) and enjoyed 43 wonderful years together. Doug was employed with Erving Paper Mill for 38 years before retiring. An avid sports fan, Doug enjoyed all the New England sports, but especially the Boston Bruins. Doug had a gift for making others laugh and enjoyed all the family functions. He liked to play cards, going to the casino, playing Keno, and grilling for everyone. Doug loved his John Deere tractor and was known for plowing out his neighbors during the winter. He loved his log cabin and Walker Mountain. A member of the Erving Fire Department, Doug was also a member of the Orange American Legion and the Harmony Lodge of Freemasons. Doug leaves his loving wife, Mary Walker of Erving; his children, Shawn Walker (Jenn) of North Carolina, Scott Walker of Warwick and Brad Walker (Beth) of Northfield; step children, Michelle Guerin (George) of Greenfield, Kim Guerin (Derrick) of Athol and BJ Guerin of Athol; grandchildren, Stephanie Walker and Bryan Walker, both of North Carolina, Kelsey Walker of Warwick, Lily Walker of Barre, Benjamin Walker of Orange, Sofia Walker and Austin Walker, both of Northfield, Kirsten Tuller of Brattleboro, Vermont, Shania Vigneau of North Carolina, Shane Harty of Washington, Kayla Robideau, Kiki Guerin and Tyler Guerin, all of Athol; two great grandchildren, Aiden Brown of Brattleboro, Vermont and Hayden Guerin of Gardner. Ted was born on March 25, 1938, to the late Theodore R. Miller Sr. and Thelma (French) Miller. He was the oldest of eight children. Through the years, Ted worked at Paper Services in Ashuelot, was a truck driver for BDR Transportation in Brattleboro, was a member of the Carpenter’s Union and worked for Roger Miller Construction in Hinsdale. He was a former employee of the State of New Hampshire Highway Department, retiring in 2002 to care for his daughter, Jill, and performing part-time work at Evergreen Cemetery in Winchester. Ted loved riding his trike with his wife and then later with his daughter, Jill. He also enjoyed listening to older country music, watching NASCAR, spending time with family at the many gatherings and watching the Boston Red Sox. He could often be found having coffee at his kitchen table or on the porch with anyone who stopped to visit. He was best known for the many stories he loved to tell. On Sept. 29, 1958, Ted married Frances Wasileski. They made their home in Ashuelot and had four children. He is survived by his children: Thomas Miller and wife, Terri, of Hinsdale; Mark Miller and his girlfriend, Heidi Parent, of Brattleboro; Jill Miller of Ashuelot; and Karen Harris and her husband, Dan, of Bellows Falls. Ted is also survived by his siblings: Roger Miller and his wife, Shirley, of Ozark, Ala.; John Miller and his wife, Barbara, of Hinsdale; Norman Miller and his wife, Paula, of Northfield, Mass.; Diane Nadeau and her husband, Dennis, of Hinsdale; and Julie Seymour and her husband, Dan of Hinsdale. He leaves behind six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Thelma; his parents; and his sisters Francis Miller Benoit and Georgianna Dingman; along with his nephew, Kevin Benoit.
