• History: According to her obituary "Ethel was employed at the Valley Vista Inn in Northfield, Millers Falls Tool Co. and she also ran Aunt Ethel's concession at Ken Millers Auction Barn in Northfield. She was a wonderful cook and baker, making all the 100s of gingerbread cookies for the Christmas Bazaar at the 1st Unitarian Church in Northfield. She was known as the Gingerbread Lady. She made wedding, anniversary, shower, birthday cakes for many people throughout the area. She always chaired the Swedish Meatball supper for her church each year at the town hall and went out of her way to make goodies for the church food sales. She was a member of the 1st Unitarian Church in Northfield, a past member of the VFW Auxiliary in Northfield. She was a member and past Matron of the Northfield Chapter 82 Order of the Eastern Star, and was deputy Grand Marshal in the Order of Eastern Star for the State of Massachusetts."
