As a teenager, he worked at Our Place Café in South Yankton. Perry then worked at Morgen Manufacturing for over 30 years until it closed. He was the last one to walk out of the building and lock the door. Then, Perry worked for Nabisco, Cox Auto Supply and Mount Marty College as a night security officer. He was a very hard worker and took much pride in his work. Perry was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed Wheel of Fortune night with Don and Vi and watching baseball games, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. Perry also liked woodworking and bowling in his younger years. Above all, he loved visiting with his close friends and being around his grandchildren."
