She will be reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of 48 years, Edward. She was born on October 30, 1936 in Montague, MA to James Pollard and Helen Field Pollard. Janice was lovingly cared for by her grandmother Nelly Field prior to moving to Hartford with her father in 1947. Janice and Eddie were married in 1956. Their marriage was truly special as they loved, played, beached at Watch Hill, and worked together at Jacobs Paint and Wallpaper in West Hartford. Family was most important to Janice and she was an incredibly loving mother to her two daughters, Nancy and Laurie, while raising them in Wethersfield and continued to share in their lives as they matured. Deeply sorrowed by her passing are Nancy Jacobs of West Hartford and Laurie and Michael Scinto of Farmington. Janice's grandchildren, Sam and Melissa Scinto, were extremely special to her and they will sorely feel this loss. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and business partner Raymond Jacobs, Sr. of Windsor and several nieces and nephews.
