Lucy was visiting her niece, Louise, and the conversation got around to the Delvee property, which would soon have to be sold to settle the estate of Calvin Delvee. They thought that the families of Calvin and Peter should get together one more time. Soon they decided to hold a reunion of all of the available descendants of the first Peter. The first reunion was held on a Wednesday, 2 June 1886, and was attended by 126 people. It was such a success that it was decided to meet each year. By the time of the second reunion, the farm had been sold to William Shepardson. The Delvey Grove was purchased from Mr. Shepardson for $60.00.

Mrs. Coolidge was a member of First Congregational Parish Unitarian Church and its Branch Alliance. She was accepted into the Clara Barton Sisterhood at the Unitarian Universalist Women's Federation for outstanding community service. She was past president of the Petersham Historical Society. She was former master of the Petersham Grange and was its lecturer several times. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Congregational Parish Unitarian Church, on the common. She went on to further her education and graduated from Simmons College. She was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army Air Corps as a medical technician. She lived most of her adult life in Brookline, and had lived in the Somersworth area for the past three years while her nephew Ralph Bowley of Somersworth was caring for her. Before her retirement, she had been a legal secretary. Ruth had also worked for the Framingham Women's Prison. She loved history and had done extensive research through the years on the family tree. Family members include her nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Chester Coolidge, and by two sisters, Rosamand Coolidge and Lydian Bowley. Graveside committal services will be held in the East Street Cemetery, Petersham, on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to: The Petersham Historical Society, c/o James Baird, 10 Main Rd., Petersham, MA 01366. He was retrained at the school as an instructor for some time, as the airships were not yet completed. He did not receive his commission of 1st Lieut until May 1918. He was in the 185th Squadron, 1st Pursuit Group and was on the front [flying a Sopwith Camel] until he was shot down and taken prisoner Oct 30th and was held for about six weeks when he escaped. Lieut. Kelton is the great grandson of Peter Delvey" According to his obituary, He was shot down in 1918 and held prisoner at Karlsruhe, Germany, where he remained until after the war. He was active in the Rural Glen Cemetery Association in Hubbardston and was a member of the Peter Delvee Family Association and Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. A memorial service will be held at a later date. A private graveside service will be held in Rural Glen Cemetery, Hubbardston. There are no calling hours.
