    Text PINEHURST -- Mrs. Patricia Trogdon Wilson Whitney, 71, of Pinehurst, formerly of Fayetteville, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004, in her home.

    Mrs. Whitney was a real estate agent with Hill Realty before retiring. She was a former member of Cedar Falls Baptist Church in Fayetteville and a member of Community Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir.

    Mrs. Whitney was also a member of Sandhills Christian Women's Club.

    The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Community Presbyterian Church by Dr. Robert Battles. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.

    Mrs. Whitney is survived by her son, Robert D. Whitney of West End; four daughters, Patricia W. Ferguson of Fayetteville, Marilyn W. Sherwin of Southern Pines, Snoda W. Hendricks of Signal Mountain, Tenn., and Laura W. Byers of Pinehurst; two stepdaughters, Jeanne Muse of Arden and Barbie Norby of Colorado; a brother, Edmund D. Trogdon Jr. of Meadowview, Va.; four sisters, Eunice Hill, Gladys Spears, Dorothy Tatum and Barbara Rollins, all of Fayetteville; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
