Grand Lake Stream - Avon W. Staples, 81, passed away at his home. He was born in Lee, the son of Wallace, and Amy (Gifford) Staples.
Avon was active in Grand Lake Stream Snowmobile Club, and Grand Lake Stream Historical Society.
He loved the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Marion (Brown) Staples; his children, Terry, and Juanita, Dana, and Julia, Robbi, and Jane, Jay, and Jim, Jon, and Diane, Bernie, and Deb, and Charles, and Debbie; two brothers, Bernard Staples, and Gloria, and Roger Staples, and Joyce; 15 special grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many friends, including special friend, Ken Sprague; several nieces, and nephews.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Phyllis Cobb Staples; and a sister, Norma.
Rev. Jim Plourde officiated.
Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery
