    Text Jeffrey Smith, 76, of Butler passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. He was born in Montague, Ma. on August 9, 1947 to the late Sidney Smith and Janice (Woodman) Farmer. After graduating from Butler High School in 1966 Jeffrey went on to serve his country honorably in the US Army and National Guard for 14 years including time in Vietnam from 67-68. Jeffrey worked as a machinist. He was known for loving all with a heart of gold. Jeff loved to sketch, draw, and paint. Spending time with his family brought joy to his life, a smile to his face, and tears to his eyes. Jeffrey married the love of his life, Sherry (Keith) Smith in 2004. Along with his wife, he is survived by his grandson Brandon (Jessica) Scarborough; great grandchildren Jolene and Ada Scarborough; in laws Ronald (Joanne) Keith; 4 sisters in law and 3 brothers in law, and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Tracy Scarborough, his grandson Koltan Cahall, 1 sister, 2 brothers, and 3 brother in laws. Family and friends will be received on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 10-11 AM at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE RD. BUTLER, PA. 16001. WWW.SPENCERDGEIBEL.COM.
